Relationships

At all stages of a relationship,  couples may find themselves facing conflict or growing apart.  After a period of assessment and collaborative goal setting, treatment may focus on: 

• Building effective communication skills
• Deepening connection, affection, and intimacy
• Developing problem solving skills
• Processing past hurts 
• Parenting issues
• Strengthening trust and commitment to one another
• Adjusting to life transitions together

I support couples of all genders and orientations. I also provide pre-marital counseling to help couples get off to a strong start together. 

I use an eclectic approach to working with couples including CBT and solution focused therapy.  I am also guided by the research and methods of Dr. John Gottman  and  Dr. Julie Schwartz Gottman.
